My friend Paul: [to his husband, David] “Okay, so now that we’ve both signed the written instrument, all we have to do is to get it notarized, and then I can file the paperwork.”
David: “But where are we going to find a notary at this hour?”
Me: [bounding into the room] “I’M A NOTARY!”
Paul and David: “HOORAY!!!”
I have waited my entire adult life for this moment.
Do you have a SuperNotary cape to put on in these moments?

The cape comes with signing agent certification.

I’m curious, how often are you notarizing things? daily? weekly?

Every other week or so.

I imagine you waiting in the shadows, eavesdropping on this conversation, just waiting for your moment to strike.

Honestly, I just happened to be walking through the front door when they were having this discussion. It’s like the Gods gifted me with single-use perfect timing.

I thought about becoming a notary when I lived in DC, but it’s a lot more complicated and expensive there. I love this blog.
